TULSA KING is a scripted crime drama series created by Taylor Sheridan and Terrence Winter for Paramount +. The series stars Sylvester Stallone as Dwight Manfredi, a made man who, after serving a 25 year prison sentence, is asked to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The series encompasses all the drama one would anticipate from a Taylor Sheridan production, but it's laced with unexpected elements of dark humor and a distinctive swagger that continually surprises viewers.
For the key art, we wanted to illustrate that dark humor with a visual that puts our bad ass protagonist Mr. Stallone front and center.
The creative campaign was an incredible partnership with the Paramount + creative team, who worked hand in hand with the MTVE brand design team on all aspects of creative, from pitch to execution. The MTVE team, under my leadership was responsible for logo treatment, on set direction of talent for key art, and concept / execution direction with agency partners.
The premiere episode of Tulsa King garnered 3.7 million viewers, making it the best new series of 2022.
